WBL for Key School Personnel, WBL for ALL!

A few days before the opening of SY 2010, academic officers, department managers, and faculty set aside time for some serious study on their own.

Led by President Nikki Coseteng, key school personnel held a most revealing workshop on Whole- Brain Thinking and Learning (WBL), under the supervision of Prof. Cecile B. Manikan of the Asian Institute of Management, who conducted the training work shop last  May 30, June 12- 14 2010.  “The more interesting the information is to the learner, the easier it is likely to be learned,” she added.

The workshops provide knowledge for the participants to better understand how and why the brain works as it does when subjected to a variety of stimuli, as well as the psychological factors that affect learning. Thus, participants are able to look at the learning strategies and programs of Diliman Prep from a much deeper perspective.

Yet, a critical aspect of the training was the chance to personally analyze one’s own personal way of perceiving things, ideas, relationships, preferred careers and jobs. Thus, the training was a rediscovery of one self.

In conclusion, this new understanding should be able to help build a formidable team that will push Diliman Prep into heights and boundaries beyond standard educational norms, to soar and become the leading catalyst to change the world of education.
